Inaugural ceremony of "Faith, tradition & Liturgy" and Onam celebration at St. Peter's & St.

                                                   
9th Oct 2011 : The inaugural ceremony for the Youth Sunday classes on Faith, tradition and Liturgy was held on 9th Oct 2011 in the presence of H.G Patros Mor Osthathios, Very. Rev Fr.K.V Kuriakose Core Episcopa & Rev Fr.Jacob Joseph and Deacon Aji. The inauguration was coupled with the onam celebration after the holy mass which started at 8:45AM.

Sunday school students threw flowers on the way and Thirumeni was greeted with a garland following which the welcome speech was delivered by the Youth secretary Tony Mathai .Fr.Jacob Joseph gave a briefing about the intention of conducting the seminars. Youth representative Geedhu handed over a bouquet to welcome Thirumeni. Thirumeni, Velyachan and Saji achan lit the lamp and thirumeni inaugurated the ceremony by revealing the bookmarks that were printed for this purpose. The bookmarks were distributed to all those who were present for the ceremony.

This was followed by the Onam celebration which was conducted in the Parish hall. Onam celebration started of with a few entertaining games conducted by Youth association members Shiju and Basil. Kids were entertained with “Bursting the balloons” and “Musical chair” and Sunday school student Alan was the winner for both the events. Members of St.Marys league took part in the “Musical chair” competition and Jhansy Roby was the winner. The final event was a very refreshing and entertaining event held for couples wherein husband was blindfolded and asked to apply makeup for his wife. Roby and Jhansy emerged victorious.

By 12:30 the hall was set up for lunch and the prize distribution for winners took place simultaneously. The program came to an end by 1:30pm and all of them returned home with filled tummies and happy faces.
