ANGAMALY: Rev.Fr.Alias Ipe Parackal has been appointed as the Vicar of St.Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, Poothamkutty, Angamaly. He hails from the Mor Sabore Afroth Jacobite Syrian Cathedral Valiyapally, Akapparambu. For the last one year, he was serving as the Vicar of Mor sabore Afroth Simhasana Church, Thuruthissery as per the directive of H.B. Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I Catholicose. During his tenure as Vicar, the Simhasanapally has been rebuilt and consecrated by the Catholicose on 23rd September, 2011. Now the Church as an area of 7, 500 sq.ft and can cater to the needs of 2, 000 people at a time. Aboon Mor Ignatius Zakha I Iwas, the Prince Patriarch of Antioch and All the East has elevated this newly built church as SIMHASANA VALIYAPALLY in Malankara.
