Dn. Akash Paul (Dn. Markose) a Lawyer was ordained as priest by Catholicose His Beatitude Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I assisted by His Grace Mathews Mor Aphrem Assistant Metropolitan, Ankamali Diocese High range region, on May 02, 2012 at St. Athanasius Cathedral, Puthencruez, Kerala – India. Akash Kathanar is the grandson of Korooso Dasaroro P A Paulose Corepiscopa’s elder brother. He was born on May 30, 1973 to Paul C. Kuriakose and Chinnamma Paul (Late). A lawyer by profession he migrated to USA and is now working with United States Homeland Security. He took his Bachelor of Law in 1995 from Kerala University, Master of Business Law in 1998 from Kerala University, Master of Law in 2002 from Touro Law Center and Master of Business Administration 2002 from Ashford University. His wife Smitha M. Paul is a Registered Nurse and is the daughter of Mathai and Susan Keenelil, also in USA, and very active in church. Kathanar Akash has two kids, Sarah Paul and Abraham Paul. Akash Kathanar ordained as an Alter Assistant on August 16, 1984 at the age of 11. He has been ordained as a Korooyo on June 20, 2009 by Catholicose His Beatitude Aboon Mor Baselios assisted by His Eminence Cyril Mor Aphrem, Archbishop of Eastern Diocese of North America. His first Malpan was "Korooso Dasaroro" P. A. Paulose Cor - Episcopa, Very Rev. George Olappura Cor Episcopa and Very Rev. George K. Kotalil Cor Episcopa. He had undergone the basic Syriac lessons from His Grace Issac Mor Osthathiose.
