KOTHAMANGALAM: His Excellency, The Vice President of Republic of India, Dr. Hamid Ansari inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Mar Athanasius College of Engineering at Kothamangalam. This is the first engineering college started under a christian management in Asia. His Beatitude Catholicos of India, Dr. Baselios Thomas I presided over the function. Hon. Minister Dr. M K Muneer, Shri P T Thomas MP, Chev. Dr. T U Kuruvila MLA, Metropolitan Mor Aphrem Mathews spoke on the occaision. Secretary of the College Association, Prof. Dr. Vinny Varghese presented Dr. Ansari, Aranmula Metal Mirror (Aranmula Kannadi) on behalf of the College Association.
