യാക്കോബായ സഭ കൊച്ചി ഭദ്രാസനത്തിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ‘സുരക്ഷിത ഭവന പദ്ധതി’ പ്രകാരം നിർമിച്ച നാലു വീടുകളുടെ കൂദാശ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച നാലിനു ജോസഫ് മാർ ഗ്രിഗോറിയോസ് നിർവഹിക്കും. മെത്രാപ്പൊലീത്തൻ റിലീഫ് ഫണ്ട് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നിർമിച്ചു നൽകുന്ന 25–ാമത്തെ വീടുകളാണ് മെത്രാപ്പൊലീത്തയുടെ ജൻമദിനത്തിൽ നിർധനരായവർക്കു കൈമാറുന്നത്.

Kaniyamparambil Dr. Curian Cor Episcopa Birth Centenary Puraskaram to Prof. Rev. Dr. Jacob Thekkeparambil





KOCHI: Director of St. Ephraim's Ecumenical Research Institute (SEERI), Kottayam, Prof. Rev. Dr. Jacob Thekkeparambil to be honoured with Kaniyamparambil Dr. Curien Cor Episcopa Birth Centenary Puraskaram, considering his contributions to the Syriac Language & Literature. The award instituted by The Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, will be presented to Dr. Thekkeparambil on Feb 25th, at Puthencuriz in a public meeting which is convened to honour Dr. Curien Kaniyamparambil Cor Episcopa.

Prof. Thekkeparambil is a renowned Syriac Scholar, and has authored many books on Syriac Language & Literature. He is the founder director of SEERI, the only research centre for Syriac in India and is affiliated to MG University, Kottayam. Dr. Jacob Thekkeparambil is an approved University research guide for Syriac Literature. "The award in the name of Malphono of Malankara, Kaniyamparambil achen, who is a world famous Syriac scholar, especially in Aramic Syriac, and malphono to most of the Syriac Scholars in Malankara, is surely a great honour to me, said Rev. Dr. Thekkeparambil to MSV.

Sources from the church said that Kaniyamparambil Dr. Curien Cor Episcopa Puraskaram, which includes a citation and a cash award of INR 50,000, will be awarded every year, to an eminent Syriac Scholar/individual who excel in the field of Syriac Language or Literature.
