The people of the area say that this killing has happened as a part of a wider conspiracy which was hatched last week. The talk is also that during their visit to Mamalassery last week, Methran Kakshi Catholicose, Moovattupuzha Athanasios, their Trustee & Secretary and other Bishops had held a meeting in the house of one Johnson Mamalassery in which the local Orthodox goon & their managing committee member Chakka Varghesekutty also participated. The Conspiracy to attack Jacobites physically and demoralise them through threats is said to have been planned then. Localites also point out that Shri. Kuriakose's accident and subsequent death has happened in the immediate aftermath of this meeting which raises strong suspicion.
The venue where he was found lying unconscious has been a place where Jacobites have been attacked regularly in the last few weeks. Two weeks back two Jacobites - Ebin Pullyattel & Aju Raju Thunnaal were attacked by Methran kakshi goons in the same place. Another Jacobite, Eldo Jacob was attacked with stones in the same place few days back when he was passing by on his motorcycle.
It seems very likely that Shri. Kuriakose was also attacked in a similar way.He was lying unconscious in that place, which is a Methran Kakshi locality for a long time without anyone bothering to rush for his help. A relative of Shri. Kuriakose who was passing by that way and found him lying unconscious rushed to the nearest house and asked for help. But they, who are Methran Kakshis, refused all help even though they had two cars lying in their house.
Al the above circumstances point at definite foul play by Methran Kakshis. They seem to think, they will attain their motives by killing and maiming Jacobite faithful and threatening them
