PUTHENCRUZ:Inaugural ceremony of Twenty third All Malankara Gospel Convention was inagurated by Most Ret. Rev. Joseph Marthoma Metropolitan of Marthoma Syrian Church. H.G Rev. Joseph Marthoma Metropolitan spoke on very warm relationship between Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church and Marthoma Syrian Church. H.G Rev. Joseph Marthoma Metropolitan said Marthoma Church has great respect for the true Patriarchal throne of Antioch and All the East. Metropolitan Joseph Marthoma also conveyed his good wishes to H.H Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka1st Iwas Patriarch of Antioch and All the East.

His Beatitude Mor Baselios Thomas I catholicose said theme of  Convention is "God that strengthen" this apt for the present situation of the holy syrian orthodox church in India. The holy ture God will strengthen his holy church in its path of  struggle for the freedom of worship in its own churches. Mor Baselios Thomas I catholicose spoke specially Mammalessery Mor Michayel Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church issue. Mor Baselios Thomas I catholicose said that Mor Michayel Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church is under going their struggle for Justice for freedom of worship in their own church ("illegal chapured by deseption of ex syrian metropolitan of Kandanad diocese to Indian Orthodox Group Metran Kakshi") for past 245th day. Its ashamed on the part of the present UDF Government in showing callous attitude to struggle of this distossesed and persecuted Jacobite Syrian Orthodox church of  Mammalessery.
