SINGAPORE/KOCHI: Metropolitan of Antioch Viswasa Samrakshana Samithy (AVSS), Mor Athanasius Elias awarded Doctorate (D.Min) by coveted Singapore based Asia Pacific Institute for Theological Research (APITR), considering his outstanding humanitarian activities and Jail Mission. Dr. Mor Athanasius now serves church as the President of AVSS, Chairperson of Women Welfare Institute, Vicar General of St. Athanasius Cathedral, Puthencuriz, President of Malankara Clergy Association and President of Malankara Evangelical Association. Dr. Athanasius was honoured with Mother Teresa Award in 2010.
